"HEY…HOW ABOUT SOME LUNCH, THEN RACE OUR SLOT CARS?"
Leave it to master promoter Lou del Rosario to figure out a way to get slot cars with the suit-n-tie set on Wall Street! Elmsford's crew recently set up their portable four-lane layout in the boardroom at the stock exchange and after lunch members had an opportunity to find out that there's fun to be had in ways other than handling billions of dollars by trading stock. Our thanks to Lou for loaning us the pictures of his latest promotion. Just goes to show that any thing is possible if you work hard enough and long enough. There were no names with the pictures but they are pretty self-explanatory. There's also a few pictures of the exterior of the "new" (sounds funny, doesn't it, for a 36-year-old business!) Elmsford Raceway. The painted lines on the parking lot aren't for Lou to jet around in his Porsche sports car. They're there for the R/C racers. A BIRTHDAY PARTY TO REMEMBER! Elmsford Raceway played host & hostess to a catered, black-tie bash for the 75th birthday party of a good friend of the del Rosario's. The racing had to be fun but man, stoke out on the eats and liquid refreshments! You, too, can set up these little shindigs! Call Lou and ask him how much he charged for this one! |
